Is there a Flingster app?

Flingster is a web app. It runs in the browser you already have — Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android — so there is nothing to find in an app store and nothing to install or update. Open flingster.vip, and you are in.

If you would like it to feel like an app, add it to your home screen. It gets its own icon, opens full screen without the browser bars, and takes one tap to reach — the steps are below.

Add Flingster to your iPhone home screen

  1. Open flingster.vip in Safari. The home-screen option lives in Safari's share sheet.
  2. Tap the Share button. The square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen (at the top on iPad).
  3. Choose "Add to Home Screen". Scroll down the list if you do not see it straight away.
  4. Tap Add. The Flingster icon appears on your home screen.

Add Flingster on Android

  1. Open flingster.vip in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose "Add to Home screen" or "Install app". The wording depends on your Chrome version.
  4. Confirm. Flingster now opens from its own icon.

Camera and microphone

The first time you start a video or voice match, your phone asks whether Flingster may use the camera and microphone. Tap Allow — without it the other person sees and hears nothing.

Tapped "Don't allow" by mistake? On iPhone, open Settings → Safari → Camera (and Microphone) and set them to Ask or Allow. On Android, tap the icon to the left of the address bar in Chrome, open Permissions, and turn camera and microphone on.

Your account on every device

You can try Flingster as a guest, with no email or real name. When you want to keep your account — your follows, your messages, your coins — bind an email to it, or sign up with email. A guest or Quick Sign in account stays on the device you made it on and cannot be recovered from a new one; an account with an email can, on your phone, your tablet and your computer.

If something is not working

  • Black video Another app (a video call, the camera app) may be holding the camera. Close it and start the match again.
  • No sound Check that your phone is not on silent and that the microphone permission above is on.
  • Stuck loading Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then reopen Flingster.
  • Still stuck See help or contact.
